Criminal Justice Act Information

In order to ensure that indigent defendants have access to competent representation in court, the federal government makes available funds through the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) (Title 18, 3006A of the United States Code).

The CJA representatives and federal defenders act as resources for panel members who are representing low-income clients.
