The Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and Foundation (BCWB) scheduled the virtual Autumn Affair Gala on Thursday, November 12 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

This year’s Autumn Affair gala benefits Respite Care of San Antonio, Inc.

So far, BCWB has 13 sponsors registered for the top-level #RBG sponsorship, including the law firm of Goldstein & Orr.

Zoom in with an amazing group of local #empowered #women to spend an evening highlighting our 2020 Belva Lockwood award winners and more.

At the gala, wear a mask featuring your favorite superhero – #RBG collars and capes are also highly encouraged!

In 1987, local parents founded Respite Care of San Antonio (Respite Care) to provide relief to parents caring for children with medical and special needs. Respite Care expanded to offer day/evening out respite sessions, early childhood education, school recess camps, and the only licensed 24/7 emergency shelters in Texas dedicated to the care of abused children with medical and special needs. Respite Care’s programs help prevent child abuse by reducing parental stress and strengthening families caring for children with special needs.

While the BCWBF will not be holding an in-person Autumn Affair gala this year, it continues to work towards its mission of protecting and strengthening local families by supporting charitable programs like Respite Care. In the spirit of Autumn Affair, we will be providing opportunities to support Respite Care through community efforts and virtual events…such as this one here!
